This Privacy Policy explains how Letry ("App", "we") collects, uses, stores, and protects user information, in accordance with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD - Law No. 13,709/2018).

• Captured content: images, pages, PDFs, or notes you scan with the camera or upload to the App, used to generate the read-aloud audio, summaries, and AI assistant responses;
• Usage data: interactions with the App, preferences (such as voice and reading speed), and activity logs;
• Device data: model, operating system, identifiers, and diagnostic information;
• Device permissions: camera access to scan text and, where applicable, access to your photo library;
• Location data: only when you explicitly authorize it.

• Convert captured content into audio, summaries, and AI assistant responses;
• Provide, maintain, and improve the App's features;
• Personalize your experience;
• Send important communications about the service;

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. To function, the App sends captured content to third-party providers specialized in text recognition (OCR), voice synthesis, and artificial intelligence, which process this content solely to generate the requested reading, summaries, and responses. We may also share data with service providers that help us operate the App (e.g., hosting, analytics). In all cases, we require contractual confidentiality and security obligations, or sharing occurs only when required by law or court order.

Some of these providers may be located outside Brazil. In those cases, we adopt safeguards compatible with the LGPD to ensure an adequate level of protection for your data.

5. Storage and security

We adopt technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. Data is stored for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Content you capture (images, text, and generated audio) may remain saved in your history within the App until you delete it or close your account.
